Legal Secretary, Wills and Probate
Brighton
£29,000 to £30,000 per annum
Nine month maternity cover contract

Parmar Staffing is recruiting an experienced Legal Secretary to support a Wills and Probate fee earner at a law firm in central Brighton. This nine month maternity cover contract offers an opportunity to put your specialist experience to work, providing accurate secretarial support and professional client care. The initial period will be nine months, however, this may be extended due to the nature of the contract.

The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing.
- Opening, maintaining, closing and retrieving client files.
- Managing appointments, meetings and the fee earner’s diary.
- Assisting clients by telephone and in person, handling sensitive enquiries with care.
- Preparing mail and enclosures and supporting general office administration.
- Working with colleagues and maintaining the confidentiality of client and firm information.
About you
You will bring:
- At least two years’ legal secretarial experience within Wills and Probate.
- Accurate audio typing and strong written English.
- Confident IT skills and experience of maintaining legal files.
- Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload.
- A professional, sensitive approach to client care.
- Availability to undertake a nine month maternity cover contract.

Salary is £29,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
