As a Legal Secretary in the professional services industry

As a Legal Secretary in the professional services industry, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative and secretarial tasks. Based in Glasgow, this position supports the legal team by managing documents, scheduling, and correspondence efficiently.

Description

  • Prepare, format, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain calendars for legal staff.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain and update client files and records accurately.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders such as courts, clients, and other firms when needed.
  • Support the legal team with billing and invoicing tasks.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures at all times.
  • Provide general administrative support as required.

Profile

A successful Legal Secretary should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar secretarial or administrative role within the professional services industry.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
