We are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel
We are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a high-profile role supporting one of the fastest growing areas of our business. You'll work closely with our International, Fulfilment, Procurement and Commercial teams, advising on complex contracts, strategic projects and legal matters across both UK and international operations.
You'll be a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, helping the business navigate legal risk while delivering practical, commercially focused solutions in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating high-value, complex commercial contracts across UK and international operations
- Acting as the lead legal contact for the International business, supporting inbound and outbound parcel operations, our Fulfilment business operations and customs clearance arrangements
- Supporting senior members of the business with commercial contract negotiations and requests for related legal advice
- Negotiating strategically important supplier agreements, including logistics, technology and operational service contracts
- Advising on contract interpretation, risk management and regulatory compliance matters
- Supporting claims and disputes activity, including managing relationships with external legal counsel where required
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Sales, Operations, International, Fulfilment and Finance
- Leading or supporting key business projects, including new service offerings and business growth initiatives
- Updating and maintaining terms and conditions, legal templates and governance processes
- Line Managing junior members of the Legal team, including coaching, mentoring and day-to-day support
- Develop and provide training on a range of legal matters as requested by the business
- Delivering pragmatic legal advice that enables commercial decision making while protecting the business
- Supporting the Head of Legal on wider commercial, compliance and corporate legal matters as required.

What we are looking for
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5+ years' PQE
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Proven ability to operate independently and quickly establish credibility with senior stakeholders
- Experience advising on high-value client and supplier agreements
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate legal advice into practical business solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience working within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Confidence dealing with challenging stakeholders and setting clear expectations
- International commercial experience would be advantageous, particularly experience working across different jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting procurement, logistics, supply chain, technology or operational contracts would be beneficial
- Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
