Legal Support Assistant Vacancy

A legal support assistant is required to join our busy family law team in Oxford. The role is part-time or full-time (minimum 3 days) and you will be office based only.

Typical Workload

  • Dealing with initial enquiries and answering the phone.
  • Supporting lawyers with preparing legal documents.
  • Handling conflict checks and preparing files for review.
  • Completing dictations and secretarial tasks.
  • Assisting fee earners with management of disbursements and billing.
  • Opening and closing of files to include archiving.

Skills / Experience Required

  • Strong IT skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role in legal services or other professional services sector
  • Familiarity with document management and case management systems
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • High attention to detail and a conscientious approach to your work
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines
