Legal Support Manager
£60,000 + benefits + bonus | Hybrid - 3 days in the office
City of London based
Are you an experienced people manager with a background in legal or professional services? We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded Legal Support Manager to lead a team of 30 support staff and drive high-quality support across six core practice groups.
Reporting to the HR Manager of Business Services, you’ll take ownership of the Legal Support function, partnering with Partners, senior stakeholders, and HR to deliver excellent service while developing a high-performing and engaged team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a 30-person Legal Support team.
- Manage performance, development, wellbeing, and employee relations alongside HR.
- Oversee service delivery and build strong relationships with Partners and senior stakeholders.
- Lead workforce planning, resource allocation, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Support change initiatives and represent Legal Support across the business.
- Drive a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

About you
You’ll ideally have:
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in legal or professional services.
- Strong people leadership and performance management experience.
- Excellent organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong influencing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
- Good Microsoft Office skills and flexibility to meet business needs.

The role
- Salary: £60,000
- Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm
- Team: 30 Legal Support professionals
