The scheme also includes:
- Training and development activities, including a reflective paper to summarise your experience on the scheme.
- Networking opportunities with trainee solicitors, partners, associates, and central business services colleagues.
- Insight sessions from our legal divisions to help you understand our work, our clients, and our purpose.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Please note:
- Whilst we appreciate you may choose to use a range of sources and generative AI tools to help you prepare for our application process, the content of your written application should be your own words. Doing the right thing is important to us as one of our values, so we want to hear your authentic voice and what matters to you, rather than generic answers or responses where AI does all the talking.
- You may only apply for one location per application cycle and should not submit multiple applications with different email addresses.
- We understand that feedback is important, however due to the volume of applications received, we are unfortunately unable to provide feedback at the application form stage or following the psychometric assessment. For those candidates who progress to the assessment centre stage, we are able to provide feedback on your performance.
