Job Purpose
To carry out Legionella prevention maintenance and related work across various commercial and industrial contracts.

Key Duties and Tasks
To carry out the following work according to the rules of ACOP L8, BS6700 and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Rules:
- Hot and cold water checks
- Shower head cleaning and germ treatment
- Water heater base flushing and checks, including flow and return
- Water heater internal checks
- Water sampling
- Tank and water pipe germ treatment
- TMV Testing
- Dead-leg removal
- Cold water tank fitting (not connecting)
- Cold water tank lining
- Cooling tower cleaning and germ treatment
- Filling in and completing job sheets
- Upgrading domestic systems to meet A.C.O.P L8 guidelines
- Extra tasks such as checking water storage tanks, hot water boilers and air cooling systems
- Take part in the on-call rota
Key Duties And Other Related Tasks
- Help other trades when needed.
- Attend monthly team meetings when required.
- Provide reports about work and equipment when needed.
- Look for ways to grow the contracts into other service areas such as Mechanical and Electrical, Like-for-like changes, Project work, FM Services etc.
- Carry out any other tasks that may reasonably be asked and are within your skills and know-how.

Skills, Know-how, Training, Background And Abilities
The skills, training and background needed for the role are:
Essential
- Good grasp of Health and Safety Law
- Use of PDA and computer skills
- Good practical skills
- Ability to work with people, including clients, at all levels
- Ability to work on your own and put tasks in order
- Ability to start tasks yourself within a team setting and when working alone
- Must be able to work in tight spaces and at height
- Background in legionella control with several years working on site checks and testing
- Know all the legal rules
- Must live in Dundee/Tayside area, Scotland or be willing to move
Preferred
- Water sampling and testing background
- Knowledge of Pool plant and equipment
Skills, Know-how, Training, Background And Abilities
The skills, training and background needed for the role are:

- Health and Safety Training
- Legionella Awareness
- Background with similar maintenance tasks including finding faults and fixing them
