Legionella Risk Assessor – Durham (Permanent)
Salary: Up to £34,000 basic | OTE: £40,000+ | Paid Overtime | Company Car Location: Durham (base) with occasional UK travel *(Focus on London & South East with wider travel)

The Responsibilities
This role involves independent fieldwork across clients’ sites (primarily in London/South East, with occasional UK-wide travel) to conduct Legionella Risk Assessments. Key tasks include:
- Conducting Risk Assessments across diverse site types (commercial, healthcare, residential, public sector)
- Assessing hot & cold water systems and related infrastructure
- Identifying and evaluating Legionella risks while complying with:
- Asbestos ACoP L8
- HSG274 Part 2
- BS 8580-1
- Producing clear, professional technical reports and recommending remedial actions
- Client-facing communication of findings and priorities
- Maintaining UKAS-accredited standards within our quality framework
What Skills & Experience Do We Need?
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor
- Deep knowledge of water systems and Legionella control
- Extensive experience working to:
- ACoP L8
- HSG274 Part 2
- BS 8580-1
- Ability to produce accurate, concise technical reports
- Strong communication and client engagement skills
- Experience with digital reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence (essential for travel)

Desirable (Bonus) Qualifications
- BOHS, City & Guilds, or Water Management Society (WMSoc) Legionella qualification
- Background in water hygiene, water treatment, engineering, or building services
- Experience within a UKAS-accredited workforce
