Aqua Allies Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer located in the North West of England.

Predominantly serving one local authority completing legionella PPMs, risk assessments, and remedial works. Also serving large clients in retail, local authorities, the NHS, charities, care homes, and many other industries throughout the UK and Ireland, we are specialists in delivering water risk assessments and water hygiene / treatment maintenance and monitoring contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

As part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for completing water hygiene / treatment PPM, remedial, and emergency works, for example:

  • Humidification PPM
  • Rainwater harvesting system PPM
  • EVAC drainage reactive callouts
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Microbiological samples
  • CWST and TMV inspection and servicing
  • Calorifier blowdown
  • Showerhead clean and chlorination
  • Flushing
  • Water risk assessments (once suitably trained)
  • Audits
  • Water filter replacement
  • Water fountain PPM
  • Basic plumbing remedial works (once suitably trained)

All works are to be completed in line with ACOP L8.

  • You will report to one of our Line Managers and be supported by our Engineering Supervisor.
  • You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, days and nights to meet business needs, however, standard works are planned Monday - Friday (days).
  • Overtime is available for those wanting to boost their income and is paid at time and a half for all hours over 40 per week, making realistic OTE of £30-36k+.
  • There may be the requirement to stay away from home, to complete works outside of your area, however, advance warning will be given.
  • 1 week in 3 or 4 on call rota (once trained in EVAC and Rainwater Harvesting Systems) if applicable in location - TBC.
  • All work must be completed in line with the Company's policies and procedures, particularly Health & Safety and RAMS must be followed for all tasks.
  • You must participate fully in 1-1 meetings, team talks, and attend all mandatory training as instructed by your Line Manager.
  • Task paperwork is to be completed on a PDA device, via our JobWatch system.
  • Timesheets are to be completed weekly, and fuel returns monthly.

The Package

  • Basic salary between £26,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience with realistic OTE £30-36k+ including overtime and bonus.
  • Door-to-door pay; we pay from when you leave home, not from arrival at your first job.
  • Overtime available (all hours over 40 per week are paid at time and a half)

Must Haves:

  • Water Hygiene PPM experience / Legionella Awareness
  • A full clean driving license
  • To be able to pass a DBS check

Nice to Haves:

  • Plumbing or water hygiene qualifications and / or solid experience
  • Experience of rainwater harvesting systems

This position is immediately available for the right candidate, subject to satisfactory references being received.
