Saturdays 11.15-5.30pm plus additional hours during school holidays and cover
Rate of pay will be dependant on National Minimum Wage age bracket
Our centres are open 7 days per week.
About the Role
Our Leisure Attendants (lifeguards) have an important role to play in the smooth operation of the leisure centre. As a Leisure Attendant it would be your responsibility to ensure the safety of our customers whilst supervising the swimming pool and its surrounds as a pool lifeguard. You will also be expected to undertake a number of other tasks around the centre such as routine checks, cleaning and assisting with the preparation of events/activities, including the assembly and dismantling of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers in a warm and welcoming way.
- Report issues to management if not able to deal with them yourself.
- Undertake general lifeguard duties to the standards defined in the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
- Be aware of general pool conditions and report any issues to the Duty Manager.
- Monitor the number of swimmers in the pool and advise the Duty Manager if limits are exceeded.
- Comply with the PSOP (Pool Safety Operating Procedure) of the centre at all times.
- Maintain your NPLQ by attending the required number and frequency of training sessions.
- Provide outstanding customer care, dealing with minor problems, and reporting serious issues to the Duty Manager.
- Ensure the health and safety of customers at all times.
- Understand and be fully conversant with the Centre Emergencies Procedure for the building as detailed in the Health and Safety Manual.
- Check the safety of equipment and report any damage or malfunction to the Duty Manager immediately.
- Assist in the preparation and operation of events and activities, including assembly and dismantling of equipment and minor repairs when required.
- Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out as prescribed by the Duty Manager and maintain storage areas in a clean and tidy condition.
- Ensure that lost property is handled and recorded in line with company procedures.
- Assist in the opening and/or closing of the centre each day.
- Complete other tasks as requested by the management team.

Salary: 11.04 - 12.9 GBP Per hour
