Leisure Centre Duty Manager
A great opportunity to lead day-to-day leisure operations across two community sports facilities, combining customer service, team leadership and a passion for delivering welcoming, well-run facilities.

SALARY: £29,659 per annum actual (£26,017 plus 14% shift allowance) + Benefits
LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire

JOB OVERVIEW
This is an exciting opportunity for a Leisure Centre Duty Manager to take an operational lead across busy wet-side and dry-side community facilities.
The Leisure Centre Duty Manager will help ensure services run smoothly while providing excellent customer service, supporting colleagues and creating a positive experience for members of the public.
With a refurbished fitness suite, swimming pools, sports halls, studios, pitches and courts, the Leisure Centre Duty Manager will bring strong communication, attention to detail, flexibility and a drive for results.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Leisure Centre Duty Manager include:
- Operational Leadership: Take the operational lead across the leisure and sports centre facilities and help ensure services run smoothly
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent service to members of the public and support a welcoming customer experience
- Team Leadership: Provide confident day-to-day leadership and support colleagues in delivering a high standard of service
- Facility Standards: Maintain a keen eye for detail across a varied mix of wet-side and dry-side leisure facilities
- Service Development: Support the continued development and growth of the leisure centre offer
- Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and facility users
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Good understanding and knowledge of the leisure industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Natural leadership skills with a strong customer service focus
- Flexibility, commitment, drive and determination
- Strong attention to detail with the enthusiasm and stamina to deliver results
DESIRABLE
- NPLQ
- Fitness Instructor Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Pool Plant Operation qualification (or equivalent)
- Swim Teaching Level 1 or Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Recognised management qualification or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
