Leisure Club Assistant - Part Time
24 Hours per week - various shift patterns to include weekend working on rota basis.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Leisure Club Assistant to join our team as we re-open our Leisure Club, following a £2 Million refurbishment investment. Seeking an individual passionate about offering great customer service and ensuring high levels of cleanliness, safety, and happiness for Guest and Members.
Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
- Offer a consistently high standard of customer service to all our club members and Owners, making them feel encouraged and valued, and achieving our important metrics
- Handle enquiries for new memberships, including setting up appointments to view the facilities
- Coordinate and implement children’s activities during school holidays
- Perform reception and administrative tasks
- Conduct water testing and pool plant duties to ensure the highest standards of water quality and safety
- Merchandise products to increase sales
- Manage spa bookings and handle payments
- Align with the cleaning schedules to maintain cleanliness
- Report lost property, accidents, maintenance issues, or other incidents
- Be proactive in ensuring all members and guests are acknowledged in a timely and appropriate manner
- Ensure member and guest access to towels and consumables is uninterrupted
- Address any member problems effectively and refer any unresolved issues to your supervisor
- Demonstrate an awareness of customer priorities and anticipate needs
- Action all guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Be aware of company policy and legal requirements that affect your role and always respect the privacy of our members and guests
- Ensure your activity always considers the health and safety of members and colleagues, and that appropriate warning signs are visible where you are working
- It is a requirement of the job to attend annual Pool Responder training. You will also be required to be a trained First Aider, training will be provided, and for your development, there will be the opportunity to gain fitness qualifications!

What we are looking for?
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent team working skills
- Excellent grooming standards
Preferred Qualifications
Although not essential, the following qualifications are preferred.
- Pool Attendant / Responder/ Lifeguard
- Experience working as part of a team
- First Aid at Work
- Pool Plant Experience
