Leisure Club Manager

Are you an experienced leisure professional with a passion for creating an outstanding member and guest experience?
Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon is looking for a motivated and commercially minded Leisure Club Manager to lead the day-to-day operation and continued development of our Leisure Club.
This is a varied management role with responsibility for the performance of the club, including membership growth and retention, revenue and profitability, team development, operational standards, and health & safety.
The Role
As Leisure Club Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance and operation of the Leisure Club, creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our members and hotel guests.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading, motivating, and developing the Leisure team
- Driving membership sales, retention, and overall club performance
- Developing initiatives to grow revenue, profitability, and member engagement
- Managing departmental budgets, labor costs, forecasting, and stock control
- Creating and delivering local marketing and membership activities
- Monitoring KPIs and using member and guest feedback to continuously improve the club
- Ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service
- Working closely with the hotel management and maintenance teams to ensure facilities and equipment are maintained effectively
- Ensuring compliance with Marriott brand standards and hotel procedures
- Overseeing leisure-related health & safety requirements, including risk assessments, COSHH, pool water testing, safety checks, emergency procedures, and pool plant operations
- Acting as the hotel's Health & Safety Champion, supporting the wider hotel with compliance and coordinating regular Health & Safety meetings

About You
We are looking for someone who is confident taking ownership of a busy leisure operation and who enjoys balancing people leadership with commercial and operational responsibilities.
You Will Ideally Have
- Previous experience within a leisure, health club, fitness, or similar environment
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, reliable, and organized approach
- A strong focus on customer service and member experience
- Commercial awareness with an interest in sales, marketing, and membership growth
- Confidence working independently as well as collaboratively with the wider hotel team
- A good understanding of health & safety within a leisure environment
- A good standard of written and spoken English
