The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, confident and people-focused Leisure Club Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our leisure club. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for creating a safe, well-run and welcoming environment where members and team members can thrive.
Using a Human Givens approach, you will balance operational excellence with genuine care for people — ensuring that core needs such as safety, connection, achievement, clarity and purpose are met for both members and your team.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the leisure club, ensuring smooth, well-organised and efficient delivery
- Leading, managing and developing the leisure team, creating a positive, motivated and high-performing culture
- Ensuring the club, facilities and equipment are well maintained, safe and presented to a high standard at all times
- Developing, implementing and maintaining clear policies and procedures to support consistency and compliance
- Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring members feel welcome, listened to and valued
- Handling member feedback, concerns and complaints calmly, professionally and solution-focused
- Promoting and selling memberships and services in a way that builds trust and long-term engagement
- Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management
- Leading regular team meetings to communicate expectations, share updates and encourage open dialogue
- Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation, safeguarding the wellbeing of members and colleagues
- Preparing and managing budgets, monitoring financial performance and controlling costs effectively
- Maintaining accurate records and producing management reports as required
