OUR HOTEL
Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa is a charming four-star hotel in the heart of Kent, offering guests a complete leisure and wellness experience. Our leisure club features a fully equipped gym, indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa facilities, and treatment rooms, creating a relaxing environment for both hotel guests and local members.
We are seeking a friendly, proactive, and customer-focused Leisure & Spa Assistant to join our growing wellness team. Reporting directly to the Leisure Club Manager, this role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining the highest standards across the spa and leisure facilities, and supporting the overall guest experience throughout the club.

LEISURE & SPA ASSISTANT
As a Leisure & Spa Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of our leisure club and spa, ensuring guests and members enjoy a professional, welcoming, and relaxing experience. You will assist across reception, gym, pool, spa, and wellness areas, helping to maintain exceptional standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the facility.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and thrives in a luxury hospitality environment where no two days are the same.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEISURE & SPA ASSISTANT AT OUR HOTEL
What You'll Be Doing...
- Welcome hotel guests, spa visitors, and leisure members with a warm and professional approach.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the spa and leisure club, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable guest experience.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation across the gym, swimming pool, spa facilities, treatment areas, and changing rooms.
- Assist with spa bookings, guest enquiries, memberships, towels, lockers, refreshments, and retail purchases.
- Promote and sell spa products, memberships, and wellness packages, providing knowledgeable recommendations where appropriate.
- Carry out regular facility checks and report maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment faults promptly.
- Monitor poolside and leisure areas to ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Support the wider spa and leisure team during busy periods, events, promotions, and wellness activities.
- Assist in creating a calm, welcoming, and relaxing environment for all guests.
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures, complying with relevant legislation and company standards.

What We Need From You
- Previous experience in a leisure club, spa, gym, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable.
- A passion for wellness, fitness, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence in promoting memberships, retail products, and spa services.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A current Pool Plant, Lifeguard, First Aid, or relevant leisure qualification would be advantageous
