About The Opportunity

An established, high-growth responsible lender is seeking an experienced Lending Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a process-driven financial professional with a background in commercial lending or consumer lending who excels at balancing diligent risk assessment with a top-tier, customer-focused approach.

Working with start-ups, entrepreneurs, and established businesses, you will play a key role in managing loan applications through the end-to-end lifecycle, driving economic growth while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Management: Guide loan applications from initial enquiry through to credit decision and completion.
  • Financial Analysis: Evaluate business plans, accounts, cashflow forecasts, and management information to determine viability and repayment capacity.
  • Credit Reporting: Prepare clear, high-quality credit reports and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Due Diligence & Compliance: Ensure all lending decisions strictly adhere to scheme policy, credit guidelines, and compliance standards.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement: Serve as a trusted point of contact for applicants, maintaining accurate CRM records and nurturing external referral partner relationships.

Candidate Profile

  • Background: Proven experience in commercial lending, consumer lending, underwriting, banking, or business finance.
  • Analytical Skills: Solid understanding of financial accounts, cashflow analysis, affordability, and risk assessment.
  • Process-Driven: Strong organizational ability to manage a pipeline of multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high standards of compliance and diligence.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Excellent communication skills with a track record of supporting clients through structured processes.
