Join our Macquarie Capital, Principal Finance division and be a part of the Global Operations team responsible for the management of our principal investing portfolio, from pre-acquisition to divestment. Play a key role in supporting our global investment portfolio across private credit, private equity and real estate.

This is a 14-month fixed-term contract opportunity.

What role will you play?

As a Lending Operations Manager, you will work directly with the principal investing deal teams and key external service providers where you will be responsible for supporting our large and well-connected investing business for all operational management and execution activities to support private credit, private equity and real estate investments throughout their lifecycle. From assessing the operational requirements of new transactions and considering approval requirements, to transaction execution, booking, management and closing. The portfolio administration will be central to the role across loan systems, cash / clearing and interaction with finance. Ensuring transactions are appropriately booked, recorded and managed through your role as an approver. You will help provide oversight of loan administration activities, and take ownership of critical investment data across loan management (LoanIQ) and related platforms.

This position offers significant exposure to a diverse portfolio of investments and the opportunity to work with stakeholders across investment, legal, finance and other specialist teams to deliver successful outcomes.

What You Offer

  • Demonstrated experience within a middle office/operations function in financial services, with 8+ years supporting the operational delivery of bilateral and syndicated transactions.
  • Highly experienced in LoanIQ or an equivalent corporate loan management platform.
  • Confidence reviewing and interpreting credit agreements and other legal documentation, supported by a strong understanding of financial, accounting and valuation concepts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across investment, legal, credit, finance, tax and client-facing teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within timeframe.
  • Previous leadership, oversight or approval responsibilities within an operations environment.
  • Exposure to fund operations or portfolio management would be advantageous but is not essential.
