Join us as a Lending Portfolio Lead at NatWest Boxed

This is a high impact role responsible for key financial outcomes of Boxed lending products, and as such has strong influence in the definition of our decision strategy so that we optimise financial objectives and returns.

Joining a collaborative and friendly team, you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your network and relationships as you work closely with key areas of the business.

What you'll do

As our Lending Portfolio Lead, you will sit within the Commercial Strategy team at NatWest Boxed and drive the evolution and optimisation of our decisioning strategy, including credit and fraud, for our consumer lending products - currently Unsecured Loans and Point-of-Sale finance.

We’ll also expect you to:

  • Partner with NatWest’s central credit and fraud strategy teams to define and deliver optimisation roadmaps for Boxed products so that we optimise P&L outcomes
  • Champion Boxed’s business priorities to influence the Group’s broader decisioning agenda
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in commercial team discussions, evaluating optimisation opportunities and potential new deals
  • Provide data-driven input on business KPI forecasting, clearly articulating the credit and fraud implications of commercial initiatives
  • Conduct hands-on quantitative analyses to generate actionable insights and recommendations
  • Develop Boxed’s internal credit and fraud MI in collaboration with team members and partner functions
  • Work cross-functionally with Credit, Fraud, Product, Data, Operations, Risk, Finance (among others), being the Credit & Fraud voice in discussions about both day-to-day management of Boxed business and optimisation initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate and operationalize strategy changes within our lending platforms

We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in a Credit Strategy and Analytics role (or similar) in the consumer lending space.

We’ll also need you to have:

  • A deep understanding of the end-to-end digital consumer lending decisioning lifecycle
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into insights using SQL, Python and Excel, and using them to inform business initiatives
  • The ability to distill complex quantitative analyses into clear, structured, and compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving environment
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and keen interest to get into the details of complex Fintech/Banking-As-A-Service (BaaS) commercial models and products
