Role Description

The Lending Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the West Midlands. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients seeking bridging finance, guiding them from initial enquiry through to completion. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role involves clearly explaining lending products and processes, providing updates on application status, and resolving queries to maintain a positive client experience. The Lending Relationship Manager will also contribute to process improvements, support sales initiatives, and uphold compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong client relationship management skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a service-focused attitude.
  • Experience in lending, banking, or financial services, with an understanding of bridging finance or property-backed lending preferred.
  • Ability to review financial information, assess risk at a basic to intermediate level, and make sound recommendations within set guidelines.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple cases and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and CRM systems; comfort working with digital documentation and workflow tools.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when handling client data, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with colleagues across sales, underwriting, and operations teams.
  • Relevant experience in property finance, mortgage brokerage, or commercial lending is beneficial.
  • Education in finance, business, economics, or a related field is advantageous, or equivalent professional experience in lending or financial services.
