Location: Oasis John Williams, Petherton Road, Hengrove, Bristol BS14 9BU

Start date: 02/11/2026 or as soon as possible

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time Only

Working Pattern: 25 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 16:30 - 21:30 (open to job share)

Salary: SCP 7-11 (FTE £26,403 - £28,142; Actual Salary £15,345 - £16,355 per annum)

We are seeking a friendly, organised and customer-focused Lettings Assistant to support the successful operation of our thriving community lettings programme.

Oasis Academy John Williams is a modern and exceptionally well-maintained campus serving both our students and the wider community. Our facilities are used extensively by local sports clubs, community groups and partner organisations, making the academy a vibrant hub for the communities we serve.

Our campus has continued to evolve in recent years, with state-of-the-art outdoor sports facilities, including a 3G AstroTurf pitch, tartan running strip, and brand-new hardcourt netball, tennis and handball courts, complementing our existing sports hall, dance studio and fitness centre. These outstanding facilities attract a wide range of users and provide exciting opportunities to strengthen community engagement.

As a Lettings Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent experience for our customers and community users. Acting as a key point of contact, you will support the day-to-day operation of our lettings programme, ensuring bookings run smoothly and helping local clubs, organisations and community groups make the most of our outstanding facilities. Through your work, you will help maintain the high standards that make our academy a destination of choice for community use.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Providing exceptional customer service to hirers and visitors, both in person and through telephone and email enquiries.
  • Managing bookings and lettings administration, maintaining accurate records and ensuring procedures are followed effectively.
  • Raising invoices, monitoring payments and supporting accurate financial administration.
  • Preparing rooms, sports facilities and equipment for use, ensuring all spaces are ready for community activities and restored afterwards.
  • Maintaining safe, secure and welcoming facilities through effective site security, health and safety compliance, and high standards of presentation.
  • Responding to customer queries and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Monitoring the condition of facilities and equipment, reporting maintenance issues and supporting the upkeep of the site.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across operations, facilities and administration teams to deliver an excellent service.
