Role Description

The Lettings Branch Manager – Rayleigh will oversee the daily operations of the lettings branch, leading and supporting the team to achieve lettings targets and deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities include:

The role involves:

  • Monitoring branch performance
  • Implementing business development initiatives
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and local partners

The Lettings Branch Manager will also:

  • Coach team members

  • Maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism within the branch

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Rayleigh.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in residential lettings, estate agency, or a closely related property services environment, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, including the ability to motivate a team, set clear objectives, and support performance improvement.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with confidence in face-to-face interactions, telephone conversations, and written correspondence.
  • Sound knowledge of lettings legislation, compliance requirements, and best practices, with strong attention to detail and risk awareness.
  • Commercial awareness and business development skills, including the ability to grow market share, manage budgets, and work towards branch targets.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and property management or CRM systems, and a willingness to learn new tools and processes.
  • Valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel locally for valuations, viewings, and client meetings when required.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in property, lettings, or estate agency (e.g., ARLA Propertymark or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
