Lettings Manager Crawley

We are looking for an experienced Lettings Manager to join an established property team based in Crawley.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lettings professional who can combine strong operational knowledge with leadership, customer service, and commercial awareness.

The role will involve overseeing day-to-day lettings activity, supporting a team, and helping to drive growth across the local rental market.

The Role

As Lettings Manager, you will take responsibility for the performance and smooth running of the lettings function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the lettings department
  • Leading, supporting, and developing members of the lettings team
  • Overseeing new landlord instructions and rental opportunities
  • Conducting and supporting property valuations and rental appraisals
  • Managing applicant enquiries and ensuring a strong pipeline of prospective tenants
  • Overseeing property viewings, offers, and negotiations
  • Ensuring lets progress efficiently through to move-in
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and tenants
  • Identifying opportunities to generate new instructions and grow the managed portfolio
  • Monitoring local rental market conditions and advising clients accordingly
  • Working closely with property management and other internal teams
  • Monitoring departmental performance against agreed targets and KPIs
  • Handling escalated client and operational issues
  • Ensuring properties are marketed accurately and effectively
  • Maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service
  • Reviewing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Producing relevant performance and management information for senior leadership

About You

We're looking for an experienced Lettings Manager or Senior Lettings professional with a strong understanding of the residential rental market.

You should have:

  • Proven experience within residential lettings
  • Previous team leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of the lettings process from instruction through to move-in
  • Experience dealing with landlords, tenants, and applicants
  • A proven track record of achieving lettings or business targets
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Good understanding of relevant lettings legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach
  • The ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Confidence handling complex or escalated situations

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced lettings professional who enjoys leading people, winning business, and delivering results.

You'll be confident managing a busy department while remaining hands-on when required, with a strong focus on landlord relationships, applicant experience, and successful deal progression.

This role would suit an experienced Lettings Manager, Senior Lettings Negotiator, or Assistant Lettings Manager ready to take the next step in their career.
