Role Description
The Lettings Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Finchley, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lettings department. The role includes managing landlord and tenant relationships, instructing and overseeing property listings, conducting valuations, and ensuring that lettings processes comply with relevant legislation and company policies. The Lettings Manager will lead and support the branch lettings team, set and monitor performance targets, and drive business development activities to grow the lettings portfolio. Daily responsibilities involve coordinating property viewings, negotiating offers, managing tenancy progression, and delivering a high standard of customer service to landlords, tenants, and partners. The role also requires accurate reporting, effective use of systems, and close collaboration with sales, property management, and central support teams.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of lettings and landlord/tenant matters, including relevant UK legislation and best practice.
- Experience working with estate agents and property management functions in a residential lettings environment.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with landlords and tenants.
- Previous experience in a lettings role, ideally at senior negotiator or manager level, with a track record of meeting performance targets.
- Confident communication and negotiation abilities, both in person and in writing.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail when handling documentation and processes.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a branch team, fostering a collaborative and results-focused culture.
- Competence using property software, CRM systems, and standard office applications.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., ARLA Propertymark or similar) are advantageous.
