Lettings Manager - York Branch
Location: York
Package: £40,000 + commission
OTE: £50,000+
Benefits: Company pension, life insurance & private medical insurance
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Lettings Manager to take ownership of the lettings department within a successful flagship York branch.
You’ll be responsible for driving new business, growing the managed portfolio, leading the team and maximising branch performance, working closely with the Group Lettings Director.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious lettings professional looking to take the next step and make a genuine commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Win new landlord instructions through valuations, canvassing, and relationship building.
- Grow the branch’s fully managed portfolio and maximise fee income.
- Develop relationships with landlords, investors, and developers.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the lettings team.
- Set targets, monitor KPIs, and drive performance.
- Build strong, long-term landlord and tenant relationships.
- Oversee the lettings pipeline and ensure excellent customer service.
- Ensure the team operates in line with current lettings legislation and company procedures.
- Support local marketing, networking, and business development activity.
- Identify opportunities to improve branch profitability and operational performance.

About You
- 3+ years’ residential lettings experience.
- Previous valuation/appraisal experience.
- Proven track record of winning new instructions.
- Strong commercial and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation ability.
- Good knowledge of current lettings legislation.
- Previous management experience is desirable.
- ARLA Propertymark qualification is advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
