About the Role
As a Lettings Manager for the client we are representing, you’ll oversee day-to-day rental activity and ensure landlords and tenants experience a reliable, professional service across Battersea and wider South West London. You’ll lead lettings operations end-to-end, working closely with colleagues and property teams to maintain performance, compliance, and a smooth customer journey.
What You’ll Do
- You will manage the full lettings lifecycle, from instruction and marketing to referencing coordination, right-to-rent checks, move-in, and ongoing tenancy support.
- You will drive occupancy and pipeline performance by setting clear weekly targets for viewings, valuations, and signed tenancies, and taking action when results dip.
- You will lead day-to-day coordination across property maintenance, inspections, and tenancy changes, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised, and resolved within expected timeframes.
- You will oversee rent collection processes, arrears monitoring, and escalation pathways, keeping stakeholders informed and records audit-ready.
- You will ensure compliance across lettings operations, including safe handling of prescribed information, documentation standards, and adherence to relevant regulatory and landlord obligations.
- You will maintain accurate property and applicant records in the agency system, including audit trails for communications, tenancy amendments, and inspection outcomes.
- You will coach and coordinate the lettings team’s workflow, supporting consistent standards in customer communication, reporting, and viewings/appointments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
