Job Overview
The Opportunity Hub UK is recruiting for a Lettings Negotiator based in Cheltenham, offering a salary of £26,000 to £30,000 plus uncapped commission.
As a Lettings Negotiator, you will play an important role throughout the lettings process, speaking with prospective tenants, conducting property viewings, building relationships with landlords and helping match people with suitable properties.
For someone entering the industry, this Lettings Negotiator position provides an opportunity to develop practical property, sales and negotiation experience. For an experienced Lettings Negotiator, it offers the chance to join a growing business and continue progressing within residential property.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Registering prospective tenants and understanding their property requirements
- Matching tenants with suitable available properties
- Arranging and conducting property viewings
- Following up with prospective tenants after viewings
- Negotiating offers and tenancy terms between tenants and landlords
- Supporting the lettings process from initial enquiry through to an agreed tenancy
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and prospective clients
- Identifying opportunities to generate new instructions and grow the lettings portfolio
- Maintaining regular contact with prospective tenants and landlords
- Keeping property and client information accurate and up to date within the CRM
- Working towards individual and team targets
- Developing strong knowledge of the local property and rental market
- Representing the business professionally during viewings and client meetings

Here are the skills you'll need:
- Previous lettings, estate agency, sales or customer service experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
- A genuine interest in developing a career within the property sector
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships with different people
- A proactive approach and confidence speaking with prospective tenants and landlords
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and appointments
- A positive and target-driven mindset
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using technology, email and CRM systems
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
- For experienced applicants, around 1 to 2 years' experience within residential lettings or estate agency would be beneficial
