Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Lettings Negotiator role based in Barnsley, working within the Sequence UK Ltd network incorporating Barnard Marcus, Brown & Merry, Fox & Sons, and William H Brown. The Lettings Negotiator will handle day-to-day lettings activities, including:

- Registering prospective tenants
- Arranging and conducting property viewings
- Matching applicants to suitable properties
- Negotiating tenancy terms between landlords and tenants
- Preparing tenancy documentation in line with company procedures and legislation
- Supporting the progression of applications through referencing to move-in
- Maintaining accurate records on company systems
- Following up leads promptly
- Providing regular feedback to landlords
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and local businesses
- Supporting branch performance targets
- Promoting additional services such as insurance and related products

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and present information clearly to landlords and tenants.
- Sales and negotiation capabilities, with experience or aptitude in working towards targets, converting leads, and securing agreements that meet both client and business needs.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including accurate record-keeping, attention to detail in documentation, and effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge or interest in the residential lettings and property market, including basic understanding of tenancy processes, legislation, and compliance (training can be provided).
- Comfort with using IT systems and property software, as well as standard office applications for email, scheduling, and data entry.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a branch team, demonstrate a proactive approach, and show resilience when handling competing priorities.
- Previous experience in estate agency, lettings, sales, or a customer-facing role is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
