Are you driven, enthusiastic and ready to build a successful career in residential lettings?
We are a large corporate landlord with a varied residential portfolio across Essex, London and surrounding areas. We are looking for a commercially minded Lettings Negotiator who will take ownership of vacant properties, create standout marketing and convert applicant interest into successful, sustainable tenancies.
This is a hands-on, mobile role for someone who brings energy, initiative and pace. You will be trusted to manage the lettings journey from marketing and enquiries through to viewings, negotiation, tenant selection and move-in.
- Take end-to-end ownership of allocated vacant properties and help minimise avoidable void periods.
- Create compelling listings, photography, video and social content that showcase each property’s strongest features.
- Respond quickly to enquiries, qualify applicants and maintain focused follow-up to convert suitable prospects.
- Plan and conduct professional viewings across Essex, London and surrounding areas.
- Negotiate confidently and recommend suitable tenants, balancing pace, affordability, compliance and long-term tenancy quality.
- Use enquiry, viewing and conversion data to recommend improvements to pricing, presentation and marketing.
- Support professional check-ins and check-outs and work closely with lettings and property-management colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
