Job Title: Lettings Officer
Location: Wimpole Home Farm, East of England
Job Summary
We’re looking for a Lettings Officer to join us in the East of England, based at Wimpole Home Farm. Working as part of a wider lettings and estates team, you will use your expertise and consultancy skills to support the letting and ongoing management of our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Use your expertise and consultancy skills to support the letting and ongoing management of our properties.
- Support the day-to-day letting and management of residential properties.
- Provide clear advice, share insight, and support good decision making through effective data handling and analysis.
- Maintain effective tenant relationships and spot opportunities to improve properties.
- Balance practical problem solving with thoughtful communication.
Key Requirements
- Solid understanding of the residential lettings market.
- Confidence navigating relevant legislation.
- Ability to produce clear specifications for refurbishment work.
- Strong organisational skills, a consultative approach, and excellent communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
- Some understanding of residential property refurbishment.
- Strong data management and analytical skills.
- ARLA qualification, working towards it, or similar professional accreditation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

About the Team
Our Lettings team is collaborative and supportive, sharing expertise to improve outcomes for tenants, colleagues, and the historic places we protect. As part of the UK’s largest private landowner, you’ll contribute to a residential let estate portfolio that underpins around £50m of annual rental income. Reporting into the Let Estate Management team via the regional Residential Property Manager, you’ll work in an environment focused on high standards and practical support.

Job Details
- Contractual Location: Wimpole Home Farm in the East of England.
- Role Type: Hybrid role with flexibility to work from home or other Trust hubs depending on business needs.
- Working Pattern: Part-time at 0.5 FTE, equivalent to 18.75 hours per week based on a standard 37.5-hour working week. The preferred working pattern will be discussed in more detail at interview.
- Work Distribution: Required to work at your contractual location or another suitable National Trust location for 40–60% of your working week.
