Now, we're pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lettings & Accounts Administrator. This is a full-time maternity cover position, expected to run until January 2027, based at our Heslington office in York.

Salary: £27,000 per annual

The Role

As a Lettings & Accounts Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting both our lettings and accounts functions, ensuring our processes run smoothly and efficiently while delivering excellent service to landlords, tenants, and contractors.

You will be responsible for:

  • Accurately setting up online tenancy agreements and related documentation.
  • Supporting the Accounts Controller with the processing of contractor payments, landlord payments, deposits, and rental income.
  • Assisting the lettings team with administration and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting the general day-to-day running of the office.
  • Maintaining a high degree of accuracy across all systems and records.
  • Carrying out any other duties reasonably required to support the needs of the business.

The role is based at our Heslington office in York, with free on-site parking available.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an organised, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a busy office environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer-facing office-based role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Full UK driving licence, free from any major endorsements.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience within the residential lettings industry.
  • Knowledge of property compliance, certification, and lettings legislation.
  • Previous experience within student lettings.

Working Hours

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible working pattern of:
    • 9:00am – 5:00pm, or
    • 9:30am – 5:30pm.
  • Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Only 2 weekends per year required.
