Extractly are a fast-growing dust & fume extraction company situated in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. We are a forward-thinking company that has an increasing Customer database. Due to retirement, we are looking to add a new CAD Technician to the staff.
Role Description
The LEV Contract / Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dewsbury. This position is responsible for managing LEV projects from initial enquiry through to completion, including site surveys, technical specifications, system design, and cost estimates. Daily tasks include:
- Coordinating with clients and internal teams
- Preparing project plans
- Overseeing installation activities
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards

- Reviewing drawings and technical documentation
- Monitoring project progress
- Resolving on-site issues
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
The engineer will also support continuous improvement of LEV solutions, contribute to product selection, and provide technical guidance to customers and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills, with experience in LEV or related mechanical/industrial systems.
- Candidates should possess effective Project Management and Project Planning skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, and budget tracking.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess solid understanding of UK and EU Health and Safety legislation, ideally including ATEX and LEV standards hold a P602 Certificate.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND or degree in mechanical or industrial engineering) is highly beneficial.
- Experience in on-site installation, commissioning, or inspection of ventilation or extraction systems is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, use basic CAD tools, and prepare clear technical documentation is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a safety-focused mindset are essential.
