About the Role
The Farnley Academy is seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic colleague to the role of Level 1 Teaching Assistant. This role is of significant importance to our academy and offers an exciting opportunity to support students in accessing learning, achieving their potential and thriving within a positive and inclusive environment.
Working under the direction of teaching staff, the successful candidate will provide classroom support, promote pupils’ learning and development, and contribute to their wellbeing, safety and inclusion. They will establish positive relationships with students, act as a role model and play a key role in supporting high standards of teaching and learning across the academy.
Potential Applicants Should Have
- GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents, supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
- Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, with the ability to support learning across the curriculum.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
