About the Role
This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting, taxation, and business support activities while studying towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities
As an Accounts Apprentice, you will receive full training and support whilst assisting with a variety of duties, including:
- Processing bookkeeping records using cloud accounting software
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Assisting with payroll processing and workplace pension administration
- Preparing personal tax returns and supporting corporation tax compliance work
- Liaising with clients to obtain accounting records and information
- Maintaining accurate client files and documentation
- Assisting with general office administration duties
- Learning accounting principles, tax legislation, and professional compliance requirements
- Providing excellent customer service to clients and colleagues

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to secure a permanent position within the practice and continue studying towards higher-level accounting qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or ICAEW.
