Adult Care Apprenticeship at Summerfield Care Home
Start your career in care with our Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship. Gain valuable hands-on experience supporting adults with their daily needs while earning, learning, and developing the skills needed for a rewarding career in health and social care.
Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
- Working Week: Monday - Sunday (30 hours per week, shift to be confirmed)
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Duration: 13 months
- Qualification: Level 2 Adult Care Apprenticeship standard qualification
- Training: Online training supported by our dedicated tutor
- Location: 12 Burton Road, Branston, Burton On Trent, DE14 3DN

- Deliver high-quality care in line with each resident's individual care plan.
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility and promote their independence wherever possible.
- Encourage and support residents' emotional wellbeing through meaningful activities and social interaction.
- Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Carry out light housekeeping duties to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures.
- Accurately record and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 4–9 (A*–C) desirable
