Pay: From £110 per day

Hours: 8:00am-3:30pm
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Openshaw (M11) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day. You will provide valuable classroom support, helping pupils engage with their learning, develop confidence, and build positive relationships within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils where required
- Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities and learning tasks
- Helping pupils access the curriculum and stay engaged with their learning
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom
- Helping pupils develop independence, confidence, and positive relationships
- Assisting with classroom preparation, displays, and learning resources
- Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime
- Providing general classroom support throughout the school day
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the school team

This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant who is passionate about working with children and looking to build their experience within a supportive primary school.
The Successful Applicant Will
- Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
- Have experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
- Be enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing
- Have a positive and proactive approach to supporting pupils
- Be confident working as part of a team
- Have good communication and organisational skills
- Be able to build positive relationships with children and staff
- Be adaptable and willing to support pupils across a range of activities
- Have full-time availability from September
- Hold a valid Child Workforce DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Have the right to work in the UK
