Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

TO WORK WITHIN OUR EARLY YEARS UNIT

Fixed term post until 31.8.27

18 hours per week for 39 weeks (term time including training days)

Salary: G4 (S.C.P.’s 7 – 11)

Actual Salary - £11,233.71 - £12,164.31

Mon – Weds 08.40am – 03.10pm with a 30 minute lunch break.

Leamore Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team from September 2026, on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and dedicated team within an Early Years provision that was judged Strong by Ofsted.

Our children thrive in a calm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, happy and confident. Communication, language and early reading are at the heart of our provision. Songs, rhymes, stories and conversations are embedded throughout the day, with staff skilfully supporting children to develop their vocabulary, share their ideas and ask questions. Our engaging curriculum promotes independence, curiosity and a genuine love of learning.
