Actual Salary £16,895-£17,162
Hours 27.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday) / 44.85 weeks paid

We are looking for Level 2 Teaching Assistant – SEND 1:1.
Gnosall St Lawrence C.E. Primary Academy is a warm, welcoming and community - minded school situated on the outskirts of Staffordshire. We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, parents, and external professionals to support the pupil's learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing. The role requires patience, flexibility, and a commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
- Support the implementation of personalised learning and intervention programmes.
- Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENDCo, and external agencies.
- Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and relevant staff.
- Support the safeguarding and welfare of pupils at all times.

The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards one.
- Have experience of working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Be committed to inclusion and ensuring the best outcomes for all children.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
