£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
On a normal day, the apprentice will carry out the following tasks:
- Create Job Cards: Generate job cards for incoming customer HGVs, vans, and trailers.
- Update Job Cards & Invoicing: Input used parts and labour costings onto job cards to prepare them for customer invoicing.
- Manage Parts & Suppliers: Order and collect required HGV parts from suppliers and negotiate prices to keep costs reasonable.
- Collaborate with Technicians: Work directly with the workshop technicians to keep daily operations running smoothly and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Use Sage Systems: Enter operational data and process administrative information using the Sage software system.
- File & Audit Paperwork: File away all supporting paperwork and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Provide Departmental Support: Offer general administrative support to the Staples Vehicle Maintenance Unit servicing department.
- Maintain Office Environment: Perform general light office cleaning duties to keep the workspace tidy.

What you'll learn
Course contents
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails
- Create proposals
- Perform financial processes
- Record and analyse data.
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including:
- Emails
- Letters
- Files
- Payments
- Reports and proposals.
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

Training schedule
You will spend 1 day out of every 3 weeks at Peterborough college, where the 'off the job training' will take place
Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard
You will continue the off the job training at Autotruck Ltd, where you'll be provided with mentoring, shadowing and training opportunities amidst your role responsibilities
After successfully completing the apprenticeship, you will earn a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4 or higher)
- Maths (grade 4 or higher)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
