Level 3 Early Years Practitioner | Outdoor Learning at Another Place, The Lake

Spend less time on paperwork and more time doing what you love – helping children learn through play.

Imagine working somewhere where the outdoors is your classroom, creativity is encouraged, and every day is different.

At Another Place, The Lake, we believe children learn best through exploration, imagination and play. That's why we'd rather spend our time creating memorable experiences than endless paperwork-based assessments.

Our Ofsted-registered Kids' Zone, set on the shores of Ullswater, provides childcare for hotel guests and local families. From babies aged six months to adventurous 12-year-olds, we create a safe, welcoming space where children can play, discover and make lasting memories.

We're looking for an experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who shares our passion for outdoor play, creativity and child-led learning.

Why you'll love working here

  • Spend more time with children and less time behind a desk
  • Beautiful lakeside setting in the Lake District
  • Outdoor learning at the heart of every day
  • Friendly, supportive team with the freedom to share ideas
  • Every day is different
  • Monthly share of hotel tips

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
