Are you an experienced Fire Risk Assessor looking to join a growing and professional fire safety consultancy where quality, integrity and technical excellence are at the heart of what we do?

EDP (Fire) is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Fire Risk Assessors in the North West region to undertake fire risk assessments across a diverse range of low-risk premises throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent assessor who enjoys working independently, building trusted client relationships, and delivering practical fire safety solutions.

About The Role

Working as part of our specialist fire safety team, you will carry out fire risk assessments, provide clear and practical fire safety advice, and produce high-quality reports that help our clients meet their legal responsibilities.

You'll work across a varied portfolio of sites, identifying fire hazards, assessing risks, and recommending proportionate control measures. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, supported by experienced colleagues and a strong focus on continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessments in accordance with current legislation, guidance and industry standards.
  • Produce detailed reports, action plans and recommendations for clients.
  • Provide professional fire safety advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of fire safety improvements.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, landlords, facilities managers and regulatory bodies where required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation, best practice and emerging industry trends.
  • Participate in quality assurance and validation processes to continually improve assessment standards.

About You

We're looking for a professional who can work independently while maintaining high technical and ethical standards.

You Will Have

  • Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments within a commercial environment.
  • A thorough understanding of current UK fire safety legislation, guidance and standards.
  • Nationally recognised fire risk assessment qualifications (Certificate level or above).
  • Membership of, or registration with, a recognised professional body or competent fire risk assessor register is desirable. (Level 3)
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
