Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Ascot, Berkshire (SL5) | On-site | Permanent, full-time | £29,000–£30,500 per year
Join an accredited Montessori nursery and preschool in Ascot, supporting children aged 0–5 in a carefully prepared environment that combines Montessori education with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Two positions are available: one in the under-2s room and one in the over-2s room. You’ll help create a warm, engaging environment where children can develop their independence, curiosity, confidence and individual skills.
What you’ll do:
- Provide warm, attentive care for children aged 0–5.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support learning through play.
- Apply Montessori principles alongside the EYFS framework.
- Support children’s communication, language development, routines and settling-in.
- Observe children’s progress and contribute to planning and records.
- Build positive, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and child development practices.

What you’ll bring:
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
- Practical nursery experience in an EYFS setting.
- Experience supporting children aged 0–5.
- Confidence planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- A calm, reliable and nurturing approach.
- The ability to work well with colleagues and contribute to the needs of the room.
About the setting
The nursery combines Montessori education with the EYFS framework in a distinctive setting beside Ascot Racecourse, within the Crown Estate. Its learning spaces include an Art Studio, Diner, Village Green, Town Hall, Library, Pre-School Chalet and Outdoor Classroom.

The nursery is approximately a 15-minute walk from Ascot station, with nearby public transport and designated parent parking. Longer-term progression and cross-site opportunities within the wider nursery group may be available.
Hours and pay
Permanent, full-time, all-year-round work, 40 hours per week. Salary is £29,000–£30,500 per year, plus benefits.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
