Nursery Practitioner - Leicester
Luma Education Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Nursery Practitioner looking for full-time work, with both long-term and temporary-to-permanent opportunities available.
The successful candidate will support children's learning and development, help create a safe and stimulating environment, and work closely with the wider nursery team to provide high-quality early years care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care, support and supervision for children in the nursery.
- Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical and communication development.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, nursery policies and individual children's needs.
- Maintain accurate observations and contribute to children's learning and development records.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage children's independence and confidence.

Requirements
- Relevant Early Years / Childcare qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3.
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, caring and reliable approach.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one, prior to starting.
