Pay: £13-£16 per hour, depending on experience

Nursery Practitioner - Leicester

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Nursery Practitioner looking for full-time work, with both long-term and temporary-to-permanent opportunities available.

The successful candidate will support children's learning and development, help create a safe and stimulating environment, and work closely with the wider nursery team to provide high-quality early years care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care, support and supervision for children in the nursery.
  • Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical and communication development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures, nursery policies and individual children's needs.
  • Maintain accurate observations and contribute to children's learning and development records.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage children's independence and confidence.

Requirements

  • Relevant Early Years / Childcare qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3.
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patient, caring and reliable approach.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one, prior to starting.
