Fitness Trainer (Level 3 Qualified PT)

Flexible employed contracts, typically 6, 12 or 18 hours a week | Plus your own Personal Training business

Being a Fitness Trainer at The Gym Group

Having a Fitness Trainer role at The Gym Group consists of two parts:

Employed Fitness Trainer

  • Typically on a 6, 12 or 18-hour contract, offering guaranteed employed hours and pay each month.
  • During your contracted hours, you'll be part of the team that makes the gym a great place to train.
  • You'll run inductions, deliver classes and spend time out on the gym floor helping members, getting to know the people who use your gym and helping them get more from their membership.
  • You'll be paid £12.75 per hour, equivalent to a full-time annual salary of £26,509.50. Your actual annual salary will depend on your contracted hours.

You'll get:

Your PT Business

The other part of the opportunity is building and running your own Personal Training business from the gym under a Personal Trainer Rental Agreement (PTRA).

You'll fit here if:

  • You hold a Level 3 Personal Training qualification, or you're Level 2 Gym Instructor qualified with your Level 3 nearly complete
  • You enjoy being out on the gym floor, talking to people and building relationships
  • You're passionate about helping people feel comfortable, confident and motivated in the gym
  • You can run a class and an induction, or you're ready to learn
  • You're excited by the idea of building a client base and growing a PT business of your own

  • No Emergency First Aid at Work certificate? We'll pay for it.
