Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Term Time Only
to work initially at:
Lane Head Nursery School
32.5 hrs a week
Grade G5 £29,542 - £32,046 Pro-Rata to hours worked.
Actual Salary from £22,145 per annum £15.31-£16.61 per hour
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our nursery team during a significant period of growth and development.
Following the recent expansion of our nursery provision to welcome 2-year-olds, we are looking for a skilled practitioner to lead a family group of children and play a key role in supporting their learning, development and wellbeing.
We are seeking someone who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, sound knowledge of child development within the birth to three age phase and the 3-4 years age phase, and experience of observing and assessing children's learning.

- Demonstrate high-quality interactions that support children's learning and development.
- Lead by example, modelling excellent early years practice.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and their families.
- Remain calm, organised and solution-focused when faced with the daily challenges of a busy nursery environment.
- Have a good understanding of how to plan for and support children with identified high needs, adapting provision and using a range of approaches to ensure they are fully included and make strong progress from their individual starting points.
- Work closely with the SENDCo, families and external professionals to implement strategies that help children make progress and thrive.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
- Champion inclusion and ensure every child feels valued, supported and able to succeed.
