Job Description
Position: Level 4 Teaching Assistant
Salary: Scale 4, Spinal Point 7 to be pro rata
Hours of work: Part Time 27.5 hours – Term Time Only
Contract Term: Fixed Term- Maternity Cover
Closing Date: Wednesday 16th September 2026
Interview Date: Tuesday 22nd September 2026
Start date: Monday 5th October 2026
Weston Park is a diverse multi-cultural primary school, situated in Crouch End, where our pupils speak up to 29 different languages. We aim to deliver a rich and creative curriculum, and we are keen for our pupils to become curious, imaginative, independent and resilient learners.
We are looking for a Level 4 TA who is a good team player who can model high standards and who is passionate about ensuring that our SEND pupils make great progress and achieve the best possible outcomes.

We are looking for a Level 4 Teaching Assistant who:
- Is a strong team player and is committed to all pupils achieving their potential
- Is calm, fair and kind and can support children’s behaviour positively, according to school policy
- Has high expectations of learning and behaviour, and can promote independence in the classroom and playground
- Is committed to supporting SEND pupils to learn and develop their skills within the classroom environment so that they achieve their best outcomes
- Can work with the class teacher to adapt and adjust learning activities to enable pupils with additional needs to access our curriculum
- Can prepare resources and implement strategies for teaching and learning, in line with individual support plans and EHCP targets
- Can provide teachers and the SENCo with clear feedback about pupils’ engagement and interaction with learning activities and their emotional wellbeing
- Is confident to provide whole class cover for occasional short-term absences
