Experienced Leveraged Finance Lawyer Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Leveraged Finance Lawyer to join a growing London Banking & Finance practice as a Legal Director. This role offers the opportunity to take significant responsibility across a varied pipeline of leveraged finance, corporate financing and growth lending transactions, acting for a strong mix of lenders, sponsors and corporate clients. The successful candidate will play an important role in the continued development of the London Leveraged Finance practice.
Responsibilities
- Advise lenders, sponsors, borrowers and corporate clients on a broad range of leveraged finance transactions.
- Handle transactions across the full lifecycle, including drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor arrangements.
- Advise on corporate financings, growth lending and venture debt transactions.
- Take significant responsibility for matters and manage transactions with a high degree of autonomy.
- Work closely with Corporate and Restructuring teams, as well as overseas counsel where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development and the growth of the London practice.
- Support and mentor junior lawyers within the wider Banking & Finance team.

Qualifications
- 5+ PQE with strong leveraged finance experience.
- Experience gained within a leading City, national or recognised banking and finance practice.
- Proven experience acting for lenders, borrowers, sponsors, investors and/or corporate clients.
- Strong experience with LMA documentation, security and intercreditor arrangements.
- Experience across the full transaction lifecycle.
- Exposure to corporate finance, growth lending or venture debt would be advantageous.
- Excellent technical, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, client management and business development skills.
