Your new company
You will be working for a local authority on delivering their LGR programme.
Your new role
You will be working across the council helping to deliver projects that support strategic objectives, improve services and strengthen business readiness for change. This is likely to be predominantly from home with some on-site requirements for monthly meetings and meeting key stakeholders.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope and budget. This will include managing project plans, risks, issues, governance, reporting, documentation, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, operational leads and delivery teams to ensure projects are well managed, clearly communicated and aligned to wider organisational priorities.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a background of delivering projects within local government councils. Your understanding of how councils operate is key to the delivery of the LGR projects.
You will be able to get up to speed quickly and communicate across a wide group of stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience delivering multiple projects within a defined portfolio
- Good knowledge of project management tools, methodologies and documentation
- Experience of risk, performance, budget and financial management
- Experience supporting change management and business readiness
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience, such as PRINCE2, Lean, MSP or 5-Case Model
