Job Title: LGV Class 1 Driver
Location: Basingstoke CDC
Hours: 40 hours shift
Summary of Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to support the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of products within our operation. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform loading, unloading, picking, packing, and transfer activities to support the timely movement of products.
- Receive, check, store, and replenish stock to maintain inventory accuracy and product availability.
- Complete shipment, receipt, inventory, and delivery documentation accurately.
- Inspect vehicles, equipment, and cargo before and after use, reporting any issues promptly.
- Support the safe and efficient transportation of products between locations.
- Communicate delivery instructions, shipment updates, and discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain warehouse and storage areas in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
- Provide routine customer and administrative support relating to warehouse, inventory, and delivery activities.

Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Good understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products and documentation.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for completing records and operational systems updates.
Desirable
- Experience working within a regulated or healthcare distribution environment.
- Previous experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or other relevant warehouse equipment certification.
- Knowledge of goods receiving and dispatch processes.
- Experience conducting stock counts and inventory checks.
- Understanding of quality, compliance, and traceability requirements.
- Customer service experience in a logistics or warehousing environment.
- Full UK driving licence.

Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field required.
- Certification in forklift operation, licensure in commercial vehicle operation appropriate for assigned vehicle class and transported materials or equivalent preferred.
