LGV Delivery Driver / Factory Assistant

Location: East Challow, Wantage, Oxfordshire

Salary: Approximately £13.00 per hour (higher rate available for HGV licence holders)

The Role

OnSite are looking for a reliable and hardworking LGV Delivery Driver / Factory Assistant to join our Sewer Rehabilitation team based at our factory in East Challow, Oxfordshire. This is a varied role combining local deliveries with hands-on factory support, helping to produce and deliver specialist liners used in sewer rehabilitation projects.

We are particularly interested in candidates who live locally to the Challow/Wantage area and are flexible with working hours, including some early morning starts.

Key Responsibilities

As an LGV Delivery Driver / Factory Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering liners and materials to site teams working across the Wessex Water and Thames Water regions.
  • Assisting factory staff with the production and preparation of specialist liners for sewer rehabilitation projects.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting day-to-day factory operations as required.
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in line with company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintaining a professional and positive approach when working with colleagues and customers.

What You'll Need

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience driving LGV vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
  • A flexible approach to work, including occasional early starts.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to support production activities.

Desirable

  • HGV licence (higher pay available for suitably qualified candidates).
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, factory, logistics or utility environment.
