Description
Due to an increase in our fleet, we are seeking a skilled LGV Technician to join our expanding workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-maintained fleet in a busy but supportive environment.
This role involves carrying out routine inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on our LGV fleet to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards. The successful candidate will be a dependable and motivated individual with a strong attention to detail, while supporting the ongoing growth and reliability of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to light commercial vehicles
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and present them for inspection
- Perform emergency repairs and rectify defects identified on the Daily Check Sheets, ensuring all vehicles to remain roadworthy times.
- Undertake planned maintenance, diagnostics, and servicing to all light commercial vehicles, in line with manufacturer and company schedules.
- Accurately and promptly complete all required documentation, including statutory and regulatory records.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and workshop facilities in good working order, arranging repair or replacement as necessary to ensure safe working conditions.
- Provide breakdown and roadside assistance when required (if applicable).
- Carry out all other reasonable duties and requests on behalf of the Company when required.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all health and safety requirements.
